Nate Mitchell is a Partner at Geodesic Capital. Prior to Geodesic, Nate helped run the late stage investing effort at Vulcan Capital, the family office of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. At Vulcan he was actively involved in the investments in Uber, TrueCar (Nasdaq: TRUE), Avvo (acquired by Internet Brands), Spotify (NYSE: SPOT), Zuora (NYSE: ZUO), Magic Leap, Souq.com (acquired by Amazon), Alibaba (NYSE: BABA), and Flipkart (acquired by Walmart). Before joining Vulcan, Nate worked at Index Ventures in London and Geneva where he helped launch Index’s growth fund and invested globally into category-leading companies such as RPX (Nasdaq: RPXC), Mimecast (Nasdaq: MIME), Milestone Systems (acquired by Canon), Etsy (Nasdaq: ETSY) and ASOS (LSE: ASC.L). Previously, Nate was a VC at Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) in Silicon Valley, where he executed technology investments and helped expand their international network of venture funds in Brazil, Israel, Russia and Western Europe. He began his investing career at Summit Partners in Palo Alto.
Nate grew up in Boulder, CO and graduated from Dartmouth College, where he was a member of the varsity football team.
